Libraries

Volunteering with the Lafayette Public Library is a meaningful way to support your community, build skills, and share your time and talents. Whether you enjoy working with kids and teens, assisting patrons, supporting events and programs, or helping behind the scenes, there are opportunities for volunteers of many interests and experience levels. Join us and be part of a welcoming team that helps the Library serve and inspire our community.

Open Space

Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis. If you are applying for Open Space Stewards, Trail Ambassadors, Naturalists or Community Event Volunteers, you can check one or more positions under "Volunteer Groups to Apply For" in the application. The Shack Volunteers is a separate application you'll need to complete.

Volunteers play an important role in advocating for open space and caring for parks by contributing over 500 hours of service every year. Volunteers come in the form of individuals, families, students, youth groups, corporate teams, neighborhoods, and more. Each hour generously given greatly impacts our community and our natural resources.
